Aidan's face shifts for the first time all day. His automated eyebrows furrow, his smile disappears. It is quite unnerving, actually. But he can't hurt Gertrude... can he?

"Have I insulted you in any way, Mrs. Farington?," he asks, terrifyingly calmly.

"How did you- I mean, I can't-" she stutters, scared to sound scared. "I didn't ask you to do these things," she concludes, simply.

Aidan sighs (as genuinely as a machine can sigh.) "I'm sorry, Mrs. Farington. I figured you would want those things corrected. But I understand now. I will await further instructions from you from now on," he smiles again.

And she hates how he smiles.
